Without RSVP Provide-A-Ride, I wouldn’t be able to see my doctors as often, and with my health, that would be so risky.
For low-income older adults who can no longer drive, finding rides to medical appointments can be a major source of anxiety. RSVP Provide-A-Ride brings seniors a peace of mind knowing they can receive free transportation services to see their doctors. This means they can live stress-free and in better health as they continue to receive ongoing medical care for their well being. Wilma lives alone and can’t afford a taxi service for the two to three times per month she needs to see her doctors. Since 2015, because of your generosity, Wilma has received 42 rides to her medical appointments through RSVP Provide-A-Ride. She shares how much of a difference this has made for her.
Without Provide-A-Ride I would have to decrease the number of times I could see my doctors throughout the year. This would be very risky with my health concerns. I know I can give them a call, schedule an appointment and a friendly Provide-A-Ride volunteer driver will pick me up on time. This is such a wonderful program.
